About West Coast Wine Group

Your gateway to premium West Coast wines

Who We Are

West Coast Wine is a family-owned small business — our aim is to be your gateway to purchasing a curated selection of wines. Our headquarters are located in the charming West Coast town of Yzerfontein, renowned for its long pristine beaches and often described as the Pearl of the West Coast.

West Coast Wine is a platform that enables you to purchase a variety of selected wines. Our primary goal is to provide you with wines that are bottled and produced in the West Coast and surrounding regions of Darling and the Swartland.

We are the proud stockists of Cloof wines and will from time to time introduce our own wines bottled in the nearby areas, where vineyards are nestled amidst wildflowers and cool Atlantic breezes. This unique setting allows the grapes to cool overnight, extending their ripening period and enhancing the flavours for exceptional quality.

Additionally, we will curate the finest wines from the region, offering only top selections from esteemed estates. Occasionally, we may feature select spirits like gin, brandy, or whiskey at competitive prices. In consideration of health concerns, we also provide a range of wines that are either non-sulphur or very low in sulphur content.

Our wines, bottled in the surrounding areas, have been selected due to their unique location — settled between the wildflower area and the cool Atlantic breeze. This allows the grapes to cool down at night, giving them a longer ripening period and allowing the flavours to develop for outstanding quality.

Yzerfontein — Pearl of the West Coast

Yzerfontein beach

Yzerfontein is a quaint, untouched fishing village and urban conservancy where man and nature live in harmony. It boasts the 16 Mile Beach — the longest uninterrupted beach on the South African coastline — with a spectacular view all the way to Table Mountain.

Just a short 1-hour drive from Cape Town, the entire town is a designated conservancy. Raised walkways, well-defined walking paths and accessible beaches allow visitors to explore almost every inch of this magnificent coastline. The cold Benguela current delivers bracingly cold water but does not deter regular swimmers, surfers and almost every other water sport.

“Join us in Yzerfontein and experience the tranquility and peaceful lifestyle in Yzers.”
